Directions to Camp
Going east from Sacramento or west from South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50, take the Missouri Flat exit (just west of Placerville) south 1.7 miles to Pleasant Valley Road. Turn left and go 5.4 miles east to Bucks Bar Road. Turn right and go 5 miles southeast to Somerset. Continue straight ahead at the stop sign, road name changes to Grizzly Flats Road. Go 12.2 miles to stop sign (road name changes to String Canyon Road at mile 8.6—keep left). Turn right at stop sign on Sciaroni Road and go 0.3 miles to the stop sign. Turn left (green county road signs point to Leoni Meadows). Road narrows to one lane for 1/4 mile. At the bottom of the hill, turn left. This is Leoni Road (Forest Service 61). Go three miles to large wooden Leoni Meadows sign. Turn right and go 0.7 miles, past cattle guard and staff houses. Registration lodge is the first large building on the left after the entrance.
